Memoxpress with Tribu Ilonganon at Dinagyang Festival 2020

Appraised as World Class Festival –Dinagyang Festival is one of the largest celebrations of culture, tradition, and religion that is celebrated every year at the City of Iloilo, the island of Panay. The celebration takes place in the fourth week of January highlighting their passionate devotion to Señor Sto. Niño as well as the rich heritage and history of Iloilo.

Dinagyang Festival 2020

The theme was “Perfect Vision: Celebrating the Ilonggo Spirit in Honor of Señor Sto. Niño” On its 52nd year of celebrating Dinagyang Festival, Iloilo Festivals Foundation Inc. (IFFI) decided to make an advancement with this year’s celebration giving the audience a 360-degree view of the performances during the Ati Tribe Dance Competition.

The Ati Tribe Competition features various “warrior” dancers not only because of their costumes but also because of their hearts for performing, passion and eagerness in showing the audience what makes Ilonggos and Ilonggo.

Flashing smiles on their faces and dancing under the rays of the sun for how many times without losing any single drop of energy is such a vibe to adapt!

Join me when I say, “Hala Bira!’
